Basic Sport Tan 23B-2000

Icelandic wool yarn 2-ply sport made in the USA. Our sport-weight 2-ply yarn is made from the fleeces of our small flock of Icelandic sheep. Icelandic fleece has a dual coat, and we have blended them together for a rustic yarn that wears well but still has nice bounce and softness. People who are sensitive to scratchiness will not find it pleasant next to the skin. But it is so hardy that a garment made from it will last a lifetime. Spun by Maker’s Way Mill in Brandon, SD. 

 Our brown yarn is the unbleached/undyed natural color of wool that we get when we comb together the fleeces from our brown sheep.  Because Icelandics have a lovely range of colors, even the brown wool has heathered tones with white and black and gray fibers.  

Approximately 200 yards per skein. 

Hand wash in cool water with wool wash. Lay flat to dry.
