Learn how to fix the 6-10 most common knitting mistakes that face advanced beginners with knitwear designer Cori Eichelberger of Irocknits. Students in this class will knit a small swatch with mistakes. Then the class will work together following a written instruction sheet to address each type of problem. Tinking back; Frogging back; changing purls to knits; changing knits to purls; dropping down and laddering back up stitches; removing extra YOs; picking up stitches 4 rows down, and more. Skill Details:
Must be able to complete homework before class. Homework will be mailed a week ahead of the class.
Requirements:
Supplies: A crochet hook (F or G), some knitters prefer a smaller crochet hook for picking up dropped sts. A smaller circular knitting needle (Size US 2, 3 OR 4 (2.75, 3.0 or 3.5 mm) 24-inch or longer, straight is fine) as an extra One piece of 12" long yarn in another color of the same weight of yarn. Instructor Bio:
Cori has over 20 years experience teaching beginning knitting and technique classes. Her workshops are popular at yarn shops and retreats throughout the United States.
She co-authored the book Minnesota 52: 16 Knits Inspired by the Road in 2017. And in the Fall of 2020, published Knitwords: 8 Patterns and 10 Musings that Celebrate the Knitter.
She produces a bi-weekly YouTube podcast ? ?Irocknits? ? where she tries to inspire knitters to make beautiful sweaters and shawls while providing Tips and Tricks and a touch of humor.
