Spindles have been around since prehistoric times and are one of the simplest tools to make yarn or cordage. There are many different styles of spindles from all over the world, the most common is the low whorl and the high whorl drop spindles. Come enjoy learning how to use drop spindle to make your own yarn and see for yourself how this portable tool can be your new best friend for spinning. This class will go through some different styles of spindles, what spindles are best for different fibers, and of course spinning and plying.
